Job Description:
A prestigious construction company in Qatar is seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in cost estimation and tender analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing tender Bills of Quantities (BOQ), project specifications, and drawings to provide accurate cost estimates. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices, contributing to the company’s overall success.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze tender BOQ, project specifications, and drawings to provide detailed cost estimates.
- Visit project sites to gather information and understand project requirements for accurate estimation.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the most competitive pricing.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and budgets for construction projects.
- Review and adjust cost estimates as necessary based on project changes or market trends.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Proven deep experience in tender analysis, project estimation, and cost management.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
Skills:
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and estimation software.
