A reputed contracting company in Qatar is urgently looking for a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor Cum Estimator to join their construction team. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in civil construction projects, including quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and pricing of civil and finishing works.
The Quantity Surveyor Cum Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, performing quantity take-offs, and analyzing project drawings and specifications. The role involves calculating material quantities, evaluating project costs, and supporting the tendering process for civil and finishing works.
The candidate will also monitor project budgets, prepare cost reports, and coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget and contractual requirements.
• Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and project specifications
• Estimate project costs for civil works and finishing works
• Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and cost breakdowns
• Analyze tender documents and prepare project estimates
• Review subcontractor quotations and compare pricing
• Monitor project costs and prepare financial reports
• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers
• Ensure project cost control and budget management
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management
• Strong knowledge of construction estimation and cost control procedures
• Knowledge of contract documentation and tendering processes
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Qatar contracting companies
• Proven experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation for civil projects
• Experience in pricing civil works and finishing works
• Experience working with construction project tenders and cost analysis
• Strong knowledge of Quantity Take-Off and BOQ preparation
• Experience with cost estimation and tender preparation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Candidate must have experience working in Qatar
• Immediate joining required
• NOC (No Objection Certificate) for sponsorship transfer is mandatory
