A reputed organization in Qatar is urgently seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering & Commercial Audit Reviewer to act as an independent technical and commercial control layer. This role is purely a review, audit, and validation function and does not involve project execution or team management.
Job Description (2 lines):
The Senior Engineering & Commercial Audit Reviewer independently reviews and validates engineering, commercial, contractual, and financial documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation before final management approval.
Act as an independent review authority supporting the General Manager
Review and audit engineering designs, BOQs, estimates, and technical submissions
Validate commercial proposals, cost breakdowns, and financial justifications
Review contracts, variations, claims, and change orders for compliance and risk
Ensure alignment with company policies, contractual terms, and industry standards
Identify technical, commercial, and financial risks and recommend mitigation measures
Verify decision-readiness of documents prior to final approval
Ensure documentation accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
Provide independent audit comments without influencing execution teams
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical or relevant discipline)
Master’s Degree or Commercial/Contract Management qualification is an added advantage
Minimum 10–15 years of experience in engineering, commercial, contracts, or project audit roles
Strong background in engineering review, commercial evaluation, and contract auditing
Experience in large-scale projects, EPC, construction, or infrastructure preferred
Gulf experience is a strong advantage
Strong expertise in engineering documentation and design review
Advanced commercial and financial analysis skills
Excellent knowledge of contracts, claims, and variation management
High attention to detail and risk assessment capability
Strong understanding of compliance, governance, and internal controls
Ability to provide independent, unbiased technical opinions
Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills
Proficient in MS Office; ERP/SAP exposure is a plus
Independent control and assurance role
No site execution or manpower management
High-visibility position supporting senior management decisions
Focused on accuracy, compliance, and risk control
