Quantity Surveyor (Civil & MEP)

Position Overview (2-Line Job Description):

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, BOQ preparation, and tender management for Civil and MEP projects. The role requires strong analytical skills to control project costs and support commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and BOQs for Civil & MEP works.

  2. Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.

  3. Evaluate, analyze, and manage tenders and variations.

  4. Monitor project costs and ensure budget compliance.

  5. Coordinate with engineers, procurement, and project teams.

  6. Prepare cost reports, payment certificates, and final accounts.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Civil & MEP Quantity Surveying

  • Qatar experience is mandatory

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Civil & MEP cost control

  • BOQ preparation & measurement

  • Tender evaluation & contract administration

  • Budgeting and cost monitoring

  • Familiarity with project specifications & standards

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

Other Requirements:

  • Currently living in Qatar

  • Must be able to join immediately

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
