The QS / Draftsman will support the engineering and project teams by preparing technical drawings, performing quantity take-offs, and assisting in cost estimation for glass, aluminium, and steel fabrication projects.
Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for glass, aluminium, and steel structures.
Assist in quantity take-offs, measurements, and material calculations.
Support project cost estimation, BOQs, and material lists.
Review design drawings and ensure accuracy in dimensions.
Coordinate with engineers, production teams, and site supervisors.
Modify drawings as per site conditions or client revisions.
Maintain drawing records and update revisions when required.
Ensure compliance with fabrication and installation standards.
Draft fabrication, installation, elevation, and sectional drawings.
Provide accurate quantities for material procurement.
Perform site visits when required to verify measurements.
Assist the QS team in pricing and tender work.
Maintain documentation and project drawings systematically.
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or related fields.
Formal training or certification in AutoCAD (mandatory).
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, drafting techniques, and technical drawings.
Excellent understanding of glass, aluminium, and steel fabrication.
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Good analytical and measurement skills.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in:
Glass works
Aluminium works
Steel fabrication and installation
Experience in project drafting and quantity surveying within the glazing and metal works industry is required.
