The Chief Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager by managing all accounting functions, preparing detailed financial reports, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, professional accounting qualifications, and in-depth experience in the construction industry.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare and present monthly financial results, including profitability analysis for all projects and business activities.
Maintain accurate cash flow statements and balance sheets for management review.
Banking & Compliance:
Liaise with banks to fulfill documentation and reporting requirements for various financial facilities.
Ensure compliance with banking, audit, and financial regulations.
ERP Management:
Maintain and monitor accounting transactions through Oracle ERP systems.
Ensure data integrity and proper reconciliation within the ERP environment.
Year-End & Audit Support:
Assist in the yearly accounts closing process.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors for timely completion of audits.
Other Financial Functions:
Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
Provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
Professional Certification (CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is highly desirable.
Minimum 10 years of industry-specific experience, preferably in the construction sector within the GCC region.
Strong command of Oracle ERP systems and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
Deep understanding of project-based accounting.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
Effective leadership and team collaboration capabilities.
