Mechanical Engineer
G-Bay Trading & Contracting W.L.L. is urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team in Qatar. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in high-rise building projects and be well-versed in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems. This position requires an individual capable of leading mechanical works from planning to execution, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Master’s Degree or certification in Project Management (PMP) or HVAC specialization will be an advantage.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the GCC region, specifically in building construction or high-rise projects.
Proven track record in the supervision, coordination, and execution of mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting systems, and drainage).
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all mechanical engineering activities on assigned projects.
Review project drawings, specifications, and ensure full compliance with mechanical design standards.
Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
Collaborate with architects, structural, and electrical teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical systems.
Prepare material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
Monitor project schedules, manpower, and resource allocation to achieve milestones.
Ensure strict adherence to Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and local authority regulations.
Conduct site inspections and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Assist in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Strong knowledge of HVAC design, piping, and mechanical installation techniques.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
Familiar with ASHRAE, NFPA, and SMACNA standards.
Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent command of English (Arabic is an advantage).
Must be currently available in Qatar.
Valid NOC is mandatory for transfer.
Must be able to join immediately or within short notice.
