The Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) will be responsible for the design, coordination, and supervision of HVAC systems for fit-out and construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess solid technical knowledge, project execution experience, and the ability to manage on-site HVAC installations from design to commissioning.
Design, plan, and implement HVAC systems for various fit-out and construction projects.
Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Supervise site installations, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely project delivery.
Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Prepare and review material submittals, shop drawings, and method statements.
Ensure all HVAC works comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and Qatar Construction Standards (QCS).
Conduct quality inspections and ensure safety compliance at the worksite.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Valid UPDA certification (preferred).
Additional certifications in HVAC design or project management will be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC-related projects within the Fit-out / Construction industry.
Proven experience in HVAC system design, ducting layout, load calculations, and equipment selection.
Familiarity with MEP coordination and project execution in Qatar or GCC region.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC design, air balancing, and ventilation systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), and MS Office.
Excellent understanding of mechanical drawings, site coordination, and project documentation.
Effective communication and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
