The EHS Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations, while managing and facilitating the Permit to Work (PTW) process at Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) and QatarEnergy sites. This role ensures that safety documentation, risk assessments, and approvals are completed before any site activity begins, in strict accordance with RLIC and QatarEnergy standards.
Implement and monitor EHS policies, standards, and regulations on-site.
Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system for all site operations.
Ensure proper risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation are in place.
Conduct safety inspections, hazard identification, and accident/incident investigations.
Provide EHS training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings for employees and contractors.
Liaise with RLIC/QatarEnergy authorities to ensure compliance with site-specific protocols.
Maintain EHS records, reports, and audit compliance.
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or Environmental Science.
Valid NEBOSH IGC certification (or equivalent).
PTW training preferred (as required by RLIC/QatarEnergy).
3–5 years’ experience in an EHS role.
Background in oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction projects within RLIC or QatarEnergy is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of RLIC and QatarEnergy PTW systems.
Proficiency in hazard identification and risk assessment techniques.
Ability to enforce safety rules and ensure compliance with regulations.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Team leadership and the ability to promote a strong safety culture.
