SECorp Industries is urgently seeking a highly experienced Safety Officer with strong expertise in land-based drilling operations, including unconventional drilling and fracking. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enforcing safety standards on-site, ensuring compliance with HSE protocols and minimizing operational risks in high-risk drilling environments.
Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across drilling sites.
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits regularly.
Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of safety equipment and PPE.
Provide safety training to staff and subcontractors.
Document and report incidents, near-misses, and hazards in line with company procedures.
Liaise with drilling engineers and rig supervisors to ensure safe operational practices, especially during fracking operations.
Stay updated with local and international safety regulations and implement improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification (mandatory).
Valid H2S and First Aid certifications.
Minimum 8+ years of experience in land-based drilling safety, including unconventional drilling and hydraulic fracturing (fracking) operations.
Proven track record of working in high-pressure environments in the oil & gas sector.
Expert understanding of drilling site safety and regulatory requirements.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
Proficient in MS Office and safety reporting systems.
Must be available for immediate mobilization.
Transferable visa or work authorization in Qatar preferred.
