A well-established oil & gas trading company in Qatar is urgently seeking a Procurement Engineer (Mechanical) to handle the procurement of mechanical products, spare parts, and technical materials for oil and gas projects.
Source, negotiate, and procure mechanical materials, parts, and equipment for oil and gas projects
Evaluate vendor quotes and ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and proper documentation
Prepare purchase orders and maintain procurement records
Work closely with the technical, logistics, and finance teams
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new ones
Stay updated on market trends and supplier innovations in mechanical systems and products
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2–3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the oil & gas sector
Experience in trading or sourcing mechanical equipment is a plus
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
Familiar with ERP systems and procurement software
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
