An oil & gas trading company in Qatar is seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer (Instrumentation) with experience in sourcing instrumentation and control system equipment for industrial and oil field applications.
Manage procurement activities for instrumentation and control products such as transmitters, sensors, valves, etc.
Evaluate technical specifications and ensure materials meet project standards
Liaise with project teams and suppliers for delivery timelines and quality control
Handle vendor negotiations, purchase order creation, and follow-up on deliveries
Assist in technical bid evaluations and coordinate with engineering departments
Monitor inventory levels and maintain procurement records
Conduct supplier performance evaluations and build vendor relationships
Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation
2–3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, specifically in oil & gas instrumentation
Sound knowledge of industrial instrumentation equipment
Strong technical background in instrumentation and control systems
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Familiar with international codes and procurement systems
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software
Ability to analyze bids and make technical comparisons
Fluent in English (Arabic is advantageous)
