We are a well-established and reputed organization in Qatar, seeking a competent and experienced Chief Accountant to lead our financial operations. This position is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial information and driving strategic decision-making.
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and banking operations. The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and excellent analytical skills.
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Supervise and support accounting staff, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
Review monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports
Handle banking relationships and oversee cash flow management
Ensure tax and regulatory compliance
Implement and monitor accounting systems and processes
Assist in strategic financial planning and performance analysis
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
Professional certification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA is preferred
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
Experience working in Qatar or the GCC is an added advantage
Must have eligibility to transfer sponsorship (NOC required)
Strong knowledge of financial regulations, budgeting, and forecasting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong leadership and team management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
