Job Description:

The Land Surveyor - Civil will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing survey reports, and ensuring accurate measurements for road construction projects. The candidate must have a strong understanding of surveying techniques and be proficient in using surveying instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys for road projects.

  • Utilize Total Station, GPS, and other surveying instruments to obtain accurate land measurements.

  • Prepare detailed survey reports, drawings, and technical documentation.

  • Assist in setting out road alignments, elevations, and construction layouts.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.

  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure accuracy.

  • Identify potential issues related to land measurements and propose solutions.

  • Maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration for accurate results.

  • Keep records of survey data and maintain proper documentation for reference.

  • Report progress and findings to project management regularly.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in land surveying for road construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, instruments, and software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS).

  • Ability to interpret civil engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Proficiency in using Total Station, GPS, Theodolite, and Leveling Instruments.

  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.

  • Familiarity with Qatar’s road construction standards and regulations is an advantage.
