The QAQC Welding Inspector will ensure the quality and integrity of welding processes and materials used in projects. This role involves conducting inspections, verifying compliance with standards, and preparing detailed reports.
Inspection:
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welds.
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) as required.
Compliance:
Ensure all welding operations adhere to international codes and project specifications.
Monitor welder qualifications and certifications.
Reporting:
Document inspection findings and prepare detailed QAQC reports.
Maintain accurate records of welding procedures and materials.
Collaboration:
Work with project teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Provide technical guidance to welders and supervisors.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QAQC Welding Inspector in construction or oil & gas projects.
Certification in welding inspection (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1).
Proficiency in NDT methods and standards.
Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards.
Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Strong communication and report-writing skills.
Proficiency in NDT techniques and tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
