Job Description:
A leading Oil & Gas trading company in Qatar is seeking Procurement Engineers with expertise in mechanical or instrumentation fields. The ideal candidate will manage the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and equipment while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery capability.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams to understand technical specifications.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure seamless supply chain management.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with mechanical and instrumentation materials and equipment.
- Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Software Proficiency: Knowledge of procurement management tools and systems is a plus.
