Job Description:
Tekfen Construction is seeking a highly experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the contract management aspects of its project in Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will handle a wide scope of responsibilities including contract management, claim management, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with both Tekfen's and the client's requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Draft and review contract documentation during operational phases, including various contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and contractual correspondence with clients and subcontractors.
- Conduct in-depth studies of contractual matters from technical, commercial, and legal perspectives, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Support tendering and operational teams in contract and risk analysis, bid clarifications, and correspondence.
- Ensure contracts are performed and closed with all contractual issues fully resolved or settled.
- Draft and align subcontracts to ensure they reflect project-specific terms consistent with the main contract.
- Oversee contract management procedures to ensure compliance by the project team.
- Monitor and manage subcontractor agreements for alignment with contractual obligations.
- Resolve contractual issues in coordination with departments and propose solutions for identified contractual risks.
- Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Perform studies on potential claim issues and manage the resolution process.
- Apply strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s in Contracts Management preferred). Other degrees may be considered with proven contract administration experience in the construction industry.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry (experience in claim management and dispute resolution is preferred).
- Knowledge of international contract legislation and FIDIC contract types is preferred.
- Experience managing large, complex infrastructure, EPC, or turnkey projects.
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Effective team player with strong coordination skills across different disciplines.
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
